Radio Frequency Network Engineer (Chantilly, VA)

Assist in providing Radio Frequency (RF) coverage surveys in cellular and public bands using RF propagation test equipment. Participate in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) design, documentation, and installation, and commission cellular and public safety DAS.  

Bachelor’s in electrical and electronic engineering or telecommunication engineering degree and 1 year experience in job or 1 year as RF Engineer with knowledge of RF protocols and measurements for power and spectrum quality using network testing solutions (TEMS). 

All candidates must have experience in performing, monitoring, measuring, and optimizing RF networks.

Technical Sales

This position is for an energetic results driven individual. The successful candidate will be performing inside sales, some customer visits, seeking to increase the company's market share, preparing quotations and proposals. Previous sales experience is preferable. Individual should have as a minimum the following skills and qualifications:

  • Feel comfortable explaining technical functionalities of products to customers
  • Be a quick learner in order to successfully become familiar with wireless products Morcom sells
  • Have a working knowledge of the 2-way radio industry
  • Proficient in the use of the Windows MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Have good organizational skills
  • Be a good communicator
  • Previous experience selling to government agencies a plus
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident

The candidate chosen for this position will be eligible and encouraged to receive training on the products sold by Morcom.

To design in-building wireless systems capable of extending public safety and cell phone communications to buildings and other structures. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing state-of-the-art in-building wireless systems that will extend wireless services to buildings, tunnels, and other structures for law enforcement and security applications. Successful candidates shall demonstrate participation on similar projects, and have as a minimum the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in the design and implementation of wireless communications systems
  • In-building DAS design for neutral host wireless cellular system and public safety system
  • DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration and troubleshooting
  • Experience in the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cable
  • Must be up to date on newer technologies and equipment
  • Experience working in systems operating in the 800MHz, 400Mhz, and cell phone bands
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • U.S. citizenship is required
