GOES GRB Satellite Receiving System

With the launch of GOES-R in 2016 a new era in weather forecasting began. The new GOES-16 and its successors are considered the most powerful meteorological spacecraft ever built. Morcom offers ground station systems to receive and process the GRB transmissions from these geostationary satellites. Images in the visual spectrum can be received with a resolution of up to 0.5 Km resolution and in the infrared spectrum resolutions of 1 Km can be expected. Our GRB Earth Station is a satellite acquisition and processing system for the real-time reception of high resolution images from the new GOES geostationary satellites. The system is PC-based and can handle the high processing speeds required to process the dual circular polarization signals transmitted by GOES. The system is made up of a 15 feet (4.5 meter) parabolic antenna, a high quality workstation, ingest software, and advanced display and analysis software. Morcom offers a full range of options for the system like mass storage devices, color printers, and UPS Systems. For larger enterprise users, we are able to design and install networks with additional display stations and image archiving.

JPSS Satellite Receiving System

The JPSS Earth Station is a satellite acquisition and processing system for real-time reception and display of the new NOAA JPSS polar orbiting satellites. Launched in late 2017 JPSS-1 has officially become NOAA-20, the first in a series of new environmental polar orbiting satellites. JPSS has sensors to measure atmospheric, terrestrial and oceanic conditions, including: sea and land surface temperatures, vegetation, clouds, water vapor, rainfall, snow and ice cover, fire locations and smoke plumes, volcanic ash and gas. The Morcom ground receiving system is PC-based and works in an interactive user environment. In addition to a PC workstation the system includes a fully automatic tracking antenna, ingest and processing software. We offer a full range of options for this system including mass storage devices, high quality color printers, and UPS Systems.

Geonetcast Satellite Receiving System

Geonetcast Americas is the Western Hemisphere’s contribution to the global environmental data dissemination system. Geonetcast uses a commercial satellite to disseminate products that can be used for various applications including biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability; disaster relief; energy and mineral resource management; food security and sustainable agriculture; infrastructure and transportation management; public health surveillance; sustainable urban development and water resources management,

The Geonetcast Terminal is a satellite receiving system designed to receive image and data meteorological products broadcast by Geonetcast Americas. Morcom offers a reliable fully-integrated system that will allow you to receive these transmissions. This system is also PC-based and works in an interactive user environment under the Windows operating system. In addition to a PC workstation the system includes a parabolic antenna, LNB, and a DVB receiver. We offer a full range of options for this system including mass storage devices, high quality color printers, and UPS Systems.
