Technical Sales

This position is for an energetic results driven individual. The successful candidate will be performing inside sales, some customer visits, seeking to increase the company's market share, preparing quotations and proposals. Previous sales experience is preferrable. Individual should have as a minimum the following skills and qualifications:

  • Feel comfortable explaining technical functionalities of products to customers
  • Be a quick learner in order to successfully become familiar with wireless products Morcom sells
  • Have a working knowledge of the 2-way radio industry
  • Proficient in the use of the Windows MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Have good organizational skills
  • Be a good communicator
  • Previous experience selling to government agencies a plus
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident

Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) Engineer

 To design in-building wireless systems capable of extending public safety and cell phone communications to buildings and other structures. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing state-of-the-art in-building wireless systems that will extend wireless services to buildings, tunnels, and other structures for law enforcement and security applications. Successful candidates shall demonstrate participation on similar projects, and have as a minimum the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in the design and implementation of wireless communications systems
  • In-building DAS design for neutral host wireless cellular system and public safety system
  • DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration and troubleshooting
  • Experience in the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cable
  • Must be up to date on newer technologies and equipment
  • Experience working in systems operating in the 800MHz, 400Mhz, and cell phone bands
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • U.S. citizenship is required


Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) Foreman

Morcom is looking for an onsite supervisor/foreman experienced in leading installation crews for the entire duration of medium scale in-building distributed antenna systems and other wireless projects. This person shall be a leader capable of managing, training, and mentoring crews of 2-4 people while on site.

Must be an expert in areas associated with PIM, Sweep, Spectrum Analyzer, and OTDR as well as coaxial cable and connector installation. Successful candidate must have experience with installation and commissioning of various DAS equipment manufactured by the leading OEM companies. Should also be experienced working with ½” coaxial cable and installing connectors manufactured by Trilogy and CommScope/Andrew

Travel or night work may be occasionally involved with this position. Must be have experience conducting site surveys for DAS projects and capturing notes to help with the design and bill of material. Strong computer skills are required with experience using Microsoft Office products. The following skills are critical to this job:

  • Three or more years of successful experience leading multiple installation crews and monitoring multiple tasks simultaneously for medium scale projects on sites such as multi-floor hotels, buildings, and tunnels
  • Strong experience in DAS installation, greenlighting, commissioning, and maintenance of in-building DAS systems or other types of wireless systems.
  • Installation experience with any of the most popular DAS systems (SOLiD, Corning, JMA, etc.)
  • Experience/knowledge in coaxial testing, VSWR fundamentals, and connectors
  • Passive Inter-modulation (PIM) experience measurements
  • Anritsu 332E or JDSU experience in Line Sweep and Spectrum Analyzer
  • CommScope, Corning MobileAccess, JMA, and SOLiD certifications are a plus
